Product Overview
The SX3000 is a Session Border Controller (SBC) within the X-SIP IP product line, designed to interconnect IP voice traffic across different IP domains and aggregate traffic for remote IP sessions. It is typically deployed at the edge of an IP provider's network (between the softswitch platform and voice access) or at the enterprise network perimeter.
There are two common deployment scenarios: connecting branch office IP sessions over the internet to an enterprise converged communications device (such as an IP-PBX), or linking an enterprise IP-PBX to a carrier's IP communication network (such as an IMS platform). The device performs access control, firewall traversal, signaling interworking, signaling and media encryption, traffic interception, and QoS management. It also provides a graphical web interface for easy configuration.
Key Features
- Firewall and NAT traversal (local/remote) enables branch offices to connect to the corporate IP-PBX over the internet.
- Media proxy forwards voice and video RTP packets, providing packet loss monitoring and QoS assurance for high-quality calls.
- Supports encryption protocols such as TLS and SRTP, combined with whitelisting, NAT address hiding, and attack interception for access control.
- Graphical Web Interface and SSH Management, supporting Static Routing, Registration Authentication, and TR069 Management Protocol
Typical Applications
- Scenario1Multi-site networking: Remote branches register to the headquarters IP-PBX via the internet.
- Scenario2Carrier Integration: Enterprise IP-PBX connects to the IMS service network via SBC
- Scenario3Cross-Domain Interconnect: Traffic Aggregation and Security Isolation Between Two Independent IP Domains
