At the heart of the NS3 X1 is a system interconnect based on industry-standard InfiniBand technology. The NS3 X1 provides the foundation for NS3 X1 system interconnect with the modular efficiency of the industry-leading HPE BladeSystem c7000 Platinum chassis and 4X FDR (14x data rate) InfiniBand double-wide switches. These switches are based on a dual-fault-tolerant switching fabric that delivers up to 56 Gbps of bidirectional bandwidth per NonStop CPU and the entire system, enabling extreme scalability, fabric flexibility, high throughput, and low latency.
Based on Intel Xeon processors
Based on the proven HPE ProLiant BL460c Server Blade, the HPE Integrity NonStop X NS3 X1 is powered by Intel Xeon E5-2600 v2 series processors and supports up to 64 GB of memory per NonStop CPU, with a maximum memory capacity of 256 GB per system (node).
Provide uninterrupted access to information and services
NS3 X1 systems can be configured with 2 or 4 NonStop CPUs in a factory-integrated, fully tested and validated configuration. Multiple systems can be connected together via Ethernet with entry-level IP Cluster I/O Modules (CLIM) or entry-level telco CLIM to support M3UA, Diameter, and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Disk storage is managed by CLIM, an entry-level storage store. Configured with up to eight powerful I/O adapters, these entry-level CLIMs provide evenly matched performance to the NS3 X1 platform while reducing host processor load to balance overall performance with improved response time.

HPE Integrity NonStop Systems, including NS3, are designed from the ground up with an integrated, fault-tolerant software stack. The NonStop software stack includes the NonStop operating system and OSS file system, security, system administration, middleware, Java and Java frameworks, a modern development environment, and one of the most scalable, fault-tolerant databases in the world.
HPE Integrity NonStop X is an L-series version with the NonStop operating system. The NonStop X software stack is optimized to take advantage of the x86 architecture and leverages InfiniBand technology to improve software performance across the system. Security and time synchronization software are included in the operating system. NonStop X offers both HPE NonStop SQL/MX and SQL/MP database products with all the latest features to support massive scaling. It offers middleware products, as well as Java and Java-related frameworks. The NonStop Development Environment for Eclipse (NSDEE) and compiler have been enhanced for x86 architectures. New NonStop users will find the NonStop Eclipse development environment a great fit for their app developers.
