Description

the FlyCart 30, which combines powerful performance such as large payload, long range, strong signal, and high intelligence, and supports two load modes, cargo box and empty crane system, comprehensively breaking through traditional transportation restrictions and flexibly responding to various transportation scenarios. Let’s take a look at the application of FlyCart 30 in three major scenarios: mountain, shore-based, and emergency!

Mountain transport

High frequency, high efficiency, more than 1 ton transported in a single day

Mountain transport has always faced many difficulties and challenges. The irregularity and steepness of the mountain make the road construction cost high, and it can only rely on manpower and animal power to carry it, which is extremely labor-intensive, difficult to continue to operate, and the timeliness is also poor. The weather in the mountainous area is changeable, and in case of rain and snow, the mountain is steep and the road is slippery, and the danger of operation is very high. The advent of the FlyCart 30 has brought the possibility of solving these problems.

Scenic transportation

There are many tourist attractions in mountainous areas, and in order to maintain the operation of scenic spots, it is necessary to transport daily necessities up and down the mountain frequently and periodically. With the FlyCart 30 drone, it can expand the transportation scale and alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand when there is a sudden increase in capacity demand such as daily large-scale transportation, large passenger flow, rain and snow weather.

Scenic transportation usually has a fixed take-off and landing point, which can create a common route, and call the route to fly automatically every time it is transported, reducing the difficulty of personnel operation. Before take-off, the FlyCart 30 can weigh the cargo and check the center of gravity, and push relevant information such as battery level, ambient wind speed, route length and altitude to the user according to the mission requirements to evaluate accessibility. During the flight, it can also monitor the picture, power, endurance time and other information of the drone in real time, which is visual and controllable to ensure the safety of the operation. After arriving at the unloading point and unloading, the route can be remotely called to control the drone to return home.

In the working environment with a mountain drop of 1,100 meters and a straight-line distance of 3,700 meters, FlyCart 30 is used for transportation, and a single round trip takes 17 minutes (including loading and pick-up time), and 28 round-trips can be completed in 8 hours, with a cumulative weight of 1.5 tons of transported goods (the total weight of a single uphill and downhill transportation is about 53 kg).

Infrastructure transportation

Due to various needs such as resource development, regional infrastructure, and tourism development, the demand for infrastructure transportation in mountainous areas is strong, and manpower is often required to carry heavy yellow sand cement, columns, photovoltaic panels and other materials over the mountains and mountains.

With a dual electric load of up to 30 kg and a climb rate of up to 5 m/s, the FlyCart 30 has multi-directional obstacle avoidance capabilities, which can easily cope with infrastructure transportation problems with high drops and complex terrain. In the face of the scattered transportation problem of multiple take-off and landing points, it can be flexibly dealt with by manual control, and the online mission recording can be turned on during the flight, and the subsequent sorties can be automatically flown back and forth.

In the working environment with a mountain drop of 700 meters and a straight-line distance of 2,600 meters, FlyCart 30 was used to transport infrastructure materials, and it took 13 minutes to transport 30 kg round trip in a single flight, and more than 1,000 kg were transported in a single day. However, a single round trip takes 5 hours, and each person can only transport 60-80 kg per day, which is much more efficient than using a carrier drone.

Shore-based transportation

Reduce costs and increase efficiency for small-batch motorized transportation scenarios

Shore-based transportation covers anchorage replenishment transportation, offshore platform transportation, and island-to-island transportation across rivers and seas. The traditional method mainly relies on supply ships, helicopters, traffic boats and other means of transportation, with low frequency and slow response, and needs to rely on the schedule of supply ships or helicopters, which is difficult to respond to emergency needs. The mobility of carrier UAVs can well fill the gap between supply and demand for shore-based real-time scheduling, small batches and emergency transportation.

In the middle of the Xinglongzhou water service area on the Yangtze River, DJI’s transportation partners are responsible for providing supplies to vessels moored at anchorages near the port, serving anchorages up to 10 kilometers away and delivering them mainly through supply vessels. After the introduction of the FlyCart 30 in trial operation, the actual measurement is stable in various environments on the river surface. With a flight speed of up to 15 m/s, the drone route can be transported by a supply ship in half an hour, and the drone delivery takes only 6 minutes to make a round trip, saving costs and improving efficiency.

Emergency transportation

Complex terrain and network disconnection environments can also be accurately delivered

In the event of a sudden natural disaster or accident, the timely transportation of emergency supplies is the key guarantee for rescue and disaster relief. Relying on disaster relief workers to carry them on their backs is arduous and difficult to transport efficiently and sustainably. With the FlyCart 30, you can reach within a radius of 10 kilometers in 15 minutes, regardless of terrain obstacles, quickly and efficiently.

DJI’s carrier application partners bring the FC30 to Fangshan

Delivering domestic water to villages with damaged roads

During the flight, the drone can display the elevation profile of the terrain ahead in real time to help operators visually perceive terrain changes, and also has multi-directional obstacle avoidance capabilities to ensure continuous transportation in all terrain, all time and all weather. The FlyCart 30 supports one machine and two control modes, and in the absence of public network or over-the-horizon, pilots in the two places can switch the control authority of the drone with one click, relay the operation, and ensure the accurate delivery of materials. If it is difficult to land at the target point, the materials can also be loaded and unloaded in the hovering state through the cable landing mode of the air crane system, racing against time for emergency rescue work and weaving a dense life safety net.
